Video is the bridge that connects you with your audience, and in Accelo’s case, with our clients.
It’s also the leading platform used by marketers around the world to drive engagement and boost brand awareness. Put simply, if you’re not using video, you’re going to get left behind.
Yes, that’s right, text and image are quickly becoming a thing of the past. In fact, humans retain 95% of a message when it’s presented to them in video, compared to a mere 10% when it’s conveyed in any other format. And that’s exactly why we here at Accelo have put video at the top of our marketing strategy – to drive engagement, boost brand awareness and stay current.
Here are four ways in which we do so:
One way that Accelo uses video on Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin is by including short GIFs – no longer than 4 seconds – on our social media posts. By doing so, we see a dramatic increase in the number of engagements – including shares, clicks, and comments – which in turn boosts awareness for our brand and content.
Another way we use video on social media, especially Facebook, is by doing live videos when at events or making an announcement. Why? Because it’s unedited, unfiltered and raw content that no one has seen before. Hence why people are so compelled to watch it; it’s new.
We recently used Facebook Live at Hubspot’s INBOUND conference to highlight Accelo’s presence at the booth and invite them to our party. It was great to see likes and praise coming in (in real-time) without the hassle of setting up and monitoring a pre-scheduled campaign.
Hot tip: When using video on social media, make sure your ‘autoplay’ setting is activated so that your videos, vines, or GIFs automatically start playing on scroll. This way, people will be more inclined to stop on your content and engage with it – because no effort is required and we as humans are curious by nature. Having subtitles is also key considering 85% of Facebook videos are watched without sound.
Did you know that video on a landing page can increase conversions by 80% or more? That’s why we use videos on our website and landing pages – to not only drive engagement but to educate and entertain our visitors as well.
One way we do this is by posting our ‘Best Practice Sessions’ and ‘Webinars’ that our expert's host for users who want to learn how to navigate Accelo with ease.
We also use video to create more compelling case studies – because nothing’s more powerful than visual storytelling, right? This means visitors to our page don’t need to download a PDF and take the time to read complex content – instead, they can just watch the video to see/hear how thrilled existing clients are with Accelo and get a real feel for it.
Probably the most engaging and exciting way we use video at Accelo is to promote company culture, both internally and to prospective hires.
We’ve created a series of internal videos like ‘why do you love working at Accelo’ so that outsiders know what to expect from us and our company. It’s a great way for us to personify the brand in a way that’s more lighthearted, relevant and credible. I mean wouldn’t you rather watch a video than read a thousand reviews?
We’ve found that posting shorter versions of these videos on social media drives a lot of traffic back to our website. It’s also a great way of getting your employees to advocate for your brand because they’ll more than likely want to share a video they’re featured in.
Still, need more convincing? Social video generates 1200% more shares than text and images combined!
In recent months we’ve started to experiment with co-hosted webinars and this has proven to be very successful. Why? because you’re able to tap into someone else’s audience that you usually wouldn’t have access to. It’s a great way to leverage video to expose your brand and capture new leads. And the best part is you can save this webinar to be reused and recycled over-and-over again on your various social platforms.
With that said, recycling content is a great way of getting more eyeballs on your content, like a blog post or a case study. At Accelo, we’ve done this by converting our written blog posts into quick videos that summarize the text to ultimately save you time and repurpose the stuff that you know works well – check it out!
Whether you’re an expert at video or a novice in training, there are many video tools that can help you take your marketing to the next level.
