Request ListAccelo's Requests Module is like the virtual triage ward - it takes in anything from anyone, and you and your colleagues get a chance to decide what to do next without getting the small stuff stuck on the Sales Opportunity or Ticket treadmill or chasing client demands without screening and qualifying them first.

However, until now you've been limited to tracking and working on Requests from our web app - checking on on the queue, answering questions or helping set clients straight when they email [email protected] or [email protected] hasn't been possible when you're away from your computer.

We're excited to announce that with this latest upgrade to our mobile apps you're now able to view, work with and close out client requests - and for the first time, we're getting our mobile apps out in front of the web app with a new feature called "Watching" so you can keep an eye on Requests with ease.

Requests 101

In case you're someone who isn't that familiar with our Requests module, it gives you and your colleagues a sort of shared inbox (split up by request type) and makes it easy to take incoming requests (be they prospective customers, quote requests, support queries or something else) and do something with them (answer them with a quick reply, convert them into a Sale or Ticket, etc).

The benefit of the Requests module is that your users can do what they're used to doing - sending you an email, filling in a form on your website or in the Accelo client portal - and you've got a handy, shared way to tackle the queue and make sure you and your colleagues don't trip over each other.

Introducing Requests on Mobile

With today's release, we're putting the power of the Requests module in your smartphone. With a tap or two, you can see a list of outstanding Requests, quickly reply to the client or your colleagues while you're on the go and even close them, all from your mobile.

The mobile app makes finding the work you need to tackle more seamless than ever by automatically setting itself to track the Inboxes (or Request Types/Queues) you’re subscribed to on the Accelo web app - so you can easily track what's going on and help clients whenever you're on the go.

The Request Lists

Requests in Accelo

The new Requests Module on mobile starts with a list of requests. Like an inbox, they show the most recently updated requests at the top, and to make life easier we have split this module into three different lists:

  • The Claimed Request list: this list shows you the Requests you and your colleagues have claimed - so you can focus on what you've got to do and be across what your team members are working on too. Your requests will always be at the top, and anyone else's will be listed below, with the most recent at the top.
  • The Watching Request list: this list shows you the Requests you've contributed to - if you've created an Activity on a Request and it is still Open (by default) you'll be able to track its progress here (this will be a boon for sales folks who push things to the customer service team!)
  • The All Request list: this list shows you (by default) all of the Open Requests from clients - a great place to go if you can't do anything more on your own Claimed or Watching lists.

While the Requests module on Mobile shows only Requests that have a status of Waiting for Response or Open by default, if you want to have a look at Converted or Closed Requests that filter is just a toggle away.

Working with Requests

Accelo View Request

With the Accelo mobile app, you can do a bunch of things, including:

  • Replying to the Request
  • Claiming the Request
  • Closing the Request

Of course, whenever you make a change in the mobile app it takes immediate effect in the web app, so any claiming or replying you do when you're out and about will be seen by your colleagues in real time too.

Coming soon: Creating Requests

At the moment, all Requests have to be created by a client - most commonly by sending an email to a sales or support address. Soon, we'll be making it possible for users to create requests on behalf of clients - so if you're on-site or at a networking event and a client asks for something, you can easily create a new Request from your mobile.
