Big week last week! We set our new JIRA integration live - after a successful beta and lots of feedback we’re excited to see how this integration improves your workflows. Aside from that and continued work on our new Purchases module (we’re having a sneak peek this week - register here) that just around the corner, here are a few of the minor updates that were shipped last week.
Disable automatic user creation via GSuite - If your Accelo account is connected with your Google Suite (aka Google Apps) then any new users clicking on the Accelo app within Google will can automatically login as a new Accelo user is created for them. Of course this user will have very limited permissions, but they're still able to set-up a user potentially without your knowledge. We've now added an option in the Google integrations settings of Accelo to disable this feature, giving you extra peace-of-mind.
Applying Retainer Rates to other work: In the case of a pre-paidhourlyretainer, the rate applied to work generally doesn't matter until the hours used go into excess. Nevertheless, a few users had been wanting the ability for the retainer rate to override the rate on work coming in from projects or tickets linked to the retainer. So, we've now added this "Apply retainer rate.." option for all pre-paid contract types.
Add@ contact creation address:We've upgraded the special [email protected] tool to be used for non-staff senders. This means emails sent/forwarded to that address will have more of the recipients scraped into Accelo as new contacts.
Sorting lists by object ID - Our team were notified about a few lists screens - such as the Ticket list - which wasn't sorting records accurately when you selected to order the results by ID number. We've worked through most of our lists screens fixing this issue so you can now sort your filtered list results more confidently.
Issue List Export performance -Every now and then we come across cases where users need to export large amounts of data from a list screen. In the case of the issues list, we heard the export time could be quite lengthy, and after investigating, we found there were some performance limitations which could be overcome without much trouble. Please enjoy exporting issues/tickets at 4x the speed previously available - and soon we'll roll out the speed boost to other list exports!
Payment Receipts using Received Date - Some of our users pointed out that the Date showing up on the Payments overview screen is always the created Date as opposed to the Received Date. We have tidied this up to ensure we consistently show the Received Date on both View Invoice and View Receipt.
Un-approving time on retainers - While time/work could be approved in the retainer management/approval tool, it was then rather tricky to unapprove time as the option became hidden. This glitch has been corrected now.
