And just like that, our talented engineers have turned around yet another huge week of important product updates and improvements! We're super excited about one piece of news in particular: our Beta integration with Microsoft's Power BI that went live a few days ago. If you want to create real-time business reports and get better insights into your operations, email [email protected] and we'll get you set up with a test account.
In the meantime, here's a list of everything else we pushed out this past week that you're going to love:
Custom ID option for Milestones: As with Projects, Invoices and a few other areas of Accelo, we've enhanced the Milestones feature to support custom ID numbers too. This allows your team to take more control of their project plans by using a special set of letters, numbers (and other characters) for the Milestones within each Project to distinguish them from Milestones under other Projects. We've also given you the ability to control this feature per Project type. So if you only want to mess with the milestone ID/numbering for your "Implementation" projects, that's what you can do:
Once turned on, any Milestones for the project type can have their custom ID configured within the Edit Project Plan screen. As you'd expect, searching and filtering milestones by the custom ID is then possible.
We’ve also released a new Custom Date Field feature: Available for our Premium users that helps make sure the data your users are entering is valid. You can learn all about it here.
MailChimp integration fixes:
API Improvements:
Re-assign work when deleting contacts: To avoid valuable sales information, Projects, Tickets and more from being lost when a Contact is deleted, we'll now prompt you to re-assign those items before permanently deleting a Contact.
Global Search - find inactive things: Last of all, there's a handy new checkbox to "Show Inactive" results when using the global search feature - making your search experience faster and easier.
