And just like that, we've got another impressive list of product updates and improvements to share with you this week, before announcing some major improvements later this week! The more modest items include:
Find invoices that haven't been sent: Accelo will now track when an invoice has been emailed to a client contact and record the most recent date it was sent. This will be shown on the left-side of the View Invoice screen and more importantly, there's now filters in the Invoice List to easily find invoices which have or haven't been sent!
QuickBooks Online Sub-customers:We've improved this part of the integration to ensure that basic sub-customer details such as the notes field can be updated when pushing another invoice under that sub-customer.
Committed Time on Tasks:When a user commits some time on a task they are promising to work on that task for a certain day. If they logged time against the commitment then Accelo would reduce the time left on it accordingly - however it was reported that some pathways for logging time to a task were not adjusting these commitments, so we've relaxed the conditions to ensure that it will always reduce (so long as it is your commitment when you log the time!) no matter what screen you log from.
Improve Auto Cc for Team/Contributors: If you've used this feature you would notice how the Cc field when creating an activity is auto-populated with the team members & contacts that have this flag enabled. It ensures all relevant people are kept in the loop. However if replying in an activity stream, we weren't ensuring the Auto Cc recipients were included - which is now fixed.
Google Contact Sync Improvement:Our team has been investigating a few reports of contacts syncing from Accelo to Google and then being updated incorrectly. We found some inconsistent contact matching logic and have updated this to ensure oursync is better at matching existing contacts else it will create a new contact in Google.
Object Group permissions fix:Granting a group of users with permission to view a specific object (e.g. Project) was incorrectly showing those users had those permission across the entire module (all projects). Fortunately, this was a UI problem only - they never had the full permission - but it was certainly causing confusion!
Multi-currency Quotes fix:We have resolved an issue with inserting a project or milestone template into a quote when multicurrency is enabled. The rates from the templates were not updating fully which meant the value of the quote wasn't updated to reflect the currency chosen. Now all the rates (and their charge value) will update appropriately when inserted.
Tasks API improvement:Upon request from some users of the Accelo API, we have added the "Planned dates" to the API response when querying details of a task - which could be helpful when needing to compare the planned dates with the actual dates a task started and ended.
