Arise is an IT services company based in New Zealand. With the incredible value of cloud-based software becoming increasingly apparent to many small businesses, implementation has become a process of its own. Arise specializes in helping other businesses migrate to a number of web-based business solutions. Depending on the particular needs of the business, Arise recommends the best software solution.

They offer four levels of service: consultation, implementation, training and support. Arise Solutions has been operating since June 2011, with a focus on the Google Apps Marketplace as a reseller. They specialize in Google Apps for Business, Box, Zoho sales and now Accelo!

Rob Laidlaw, managing director, divulges his experience working with clients. Many service businesses, particularly marketing agencies, have a “need for collaboration when sharing client information. It means a lot to have it well organized.”

Business Challenges and Objectives

As a company that brings the benefits of web-based solutions to other businesses, it’s only fitting that Arise would have to adopt one for themselves. Laidlaw specified that Arise needed “one consistent platform to come to” for all of their processes.

The key functions they needed included sales, job management, and support and issue tracking. “Also, Xero integration was key because it was our accounting package,” Rob tells us.

After trialing a few different products, they decided to implement Accelo as of July 2011.

Results

After implementation, Arise found a process they could repeatedly use in Accelo. “We typically start with sales, then lead to a job tied to that specific client.” After all is said and done, they make sure to keep a client record for any and all future opportunities. Not only has Accelo been able to provide a platform to make their company information visible to everyone on the team, but it also keeps all of their data together.

“Having a system like Accelo leaves the process open to reselling and ongoing opportunities with that client.”
