Probably our most anticipated new features - and the one with the most rave reviews from our beta testers - was our new universal search box. Now, in a Google-esque fashion, you can simply start typing, and Accelo will give you a list of matching search results, weighted by our own search algorithm to quickly and easily find what you're looking for - fast!
In addition to the obvious usage - (type in a keyword, wait a second to see if the result you want shows up immediately, and if not hit enter and get the detailed search results), - you can also unlock some power-user features really easily:
Narrowing search by type: start by beginning to type the type of object you're looking for (like "Comp" for "Company", or "Sal" for "Sale"). Accelo will then tell you to press TAB to autocomplete, and then filter your search results by objects of that type.
Searching by ID: if you're someone who knows the IDs of the objects you need (like a ticket number, for example), simply type id:1234 for the object ID 1234 and you'll get that result (if it matches something) quickly in the search suggestion list. Combine this trick with the type search above to find just tickets of id:1234.
We hope this new search feature makes it much easier for you to find what you need in Accelo so you can spend less time using our product and more time getting on with doing the work you love ;-)
