When we sat down to completely redesign our product, right at the top of the list of our priorities was making the product a less intimidating for new and casual users. Striking the right balance between casual users who need to log their time or complete tasks vs the needs of tech-savvy power users who simply don't mind a cluttered screen is a tough balance to strike (because it helps them go where they want fast) - but based on the feedback from our beta users, it looks like we've nailed it.
For the more casual users, we've clustered all of the "personal" navigation areas on the top right. You have the ability to easily create new companies, sales or other activities in Accelo, view your own favorites and task board, enter your timesheets, and click on your avatar to update your account.
For the power users, we've introduced a new "Modules" menu in the top left of the site. This gives you access to all of the modules in Accelo, and when you click on each one you get a list of the object in that module with newly re-designed filter screens making it easy to do power-user things.
Also in our new navigation is a brand new "Help" section - simply click on the Help icon and see a panel slide out to show you relevant articles, and ways to ask a question or suggest an idea, all without losing your place.
