At Accelo, our employees are career-focused, driven, collaborative, and are always looking for a new challenge. This has led to over 10 internal promotions and career moves this year alone. In our newest blog series, "Employee Spotlight," we feature one of our talented employees. First one up is Julia Shorter, our Marketing Coordinator here at Accelo.
Julia wears several hats and wears them well. From Sales to Marketing, her career has shifted since she started at Accelo in July 2018, but she continues to support several departments throughout the company, making her a jack-of-all-trades.
“In my career, I’ve found that it’s rare to have the opportunity to work with someone like Julia. Her energy, dedication, positivity, and discipline are not only infectious, but align her impressive career potential. Her competitive nature is balanced by an empathy that is honest and true to her core. She knows what she wants, she educates herself to get there, and she pulls everyone around her toward success!” - Alex Guest, Accelo's Director of Partnerships & Channel

A graduate from the University of New Hampshire, Julia had various marketing and event internships throughout college, which prepared her for Accelo - her first job out of college.
I currently develop and oversee Accelo’s social content and design across all channels. As well as generate content and on-brand designs for a multitude of internal marketing efforts, as well as partnership co-marketing strategies.
Throughout my time at Accelo, my career has made quite a shift. I went from being a part of the Sales team attending events and following more SDR functions. Then, I saw a need for support on the graphic design front so I offered to lend a hand. From there I started turning my focus to design, social media, and finally, my main roles shifted to the marketing department. This fed my creative side and now here I am as the Marketing Coordinator.
My favorite part is I can really make it my own. I have my daily functions of social media management, design and event planning, but I also get pulled in as a resource for a plethora of projects. I am an extremely creative person by nature and having the ability to try new things and gain new skills is incredible.
Creative power. Having the ability to come in every day and feed into my passions.
Julia is responsible for creating our Ads, creative banners, and more!
I genuinely look forward to coming into work every day and being surrounded by intelligent, witty, and caring coworkers. Having this sort of camaraderie is something that’s so important for me.
We're also looking for inspired, hard-working individuals. If this sounds like you, check out our Careers Page for openings.
