Harness the Power of the Accelo API

Accelo handles the way your business is organized so that you have more time to make the great things your clients care about. However, every business is different, and there are an infinite number of ways you can wield your data to perform the functions you want and need. With the Accelo API, you can now unlock the power of the platform.

The Accelo API is a RESTful web service that exposes the main functions of the application, secured with HTTPS and OAuth2. We’re really excited to see what some of our users can do with it!

Why Use Accelo’s API?

Do you have a feature or application you’d like to build using your client list? Perhaps you’ve thought of something that we haven’t gotten to, or need a feature just for your company -- either way, the Accelo API gives you access to almost all of the data in your Accelo application.

Here are some of the ideas we’ve heard so far: 

• A voip app to automatically log calls
• Integrations with third-party applications
• Reports using data from the Issues Module

Which Data Can I Use?

The Accelo API gives you read and write access to most of the objects in the application. Here is a list of the endpoints that are available:

It supports three different application types at launch: 

• Installed applications: Great for desktop and mobile apps tied to an Accelo user's account. Whenever you use the API using this security model, you'll be inheriting all the permissions of the user in question.
• Web applications: Great to connect your web application to Accelo so you can do things on behalf of our shared users.
• Service applications: This category allows for things like synchronization across the whole platform. It's well-suited for automatic or back-office integration jobs, or even putting a form on your website to submit information through to Accelo.

How Do I Get Started?

From your Configurations page, you'll see an API section where you can register your application and view your usage and statistics. Developers who are looking to get started, visit our help site for more information.
