Our US server cluster experienced an intermittent outage for around 4 hours on Sunday the 3rd of April. The issue was a result of a switch failure managed by our server infrastructure provider, which led to various services in our private hosting cloud being unable to connect to each other. Our engineers were alerted to the issue immediately, however our upstream provider was unable to get to the bottom of their system problem, so our engineers re-routed traffic to overcome the switch failure.
Our engineers are continuing to work with our upstream providers to address this issue, and we'll update this blog post with further information as it comes to light.
