The Best Advice A Mother Can Give

We've heard it time and time again: "a Mother always knows best."

While we may not believe this at first, it always ends up being true... And as much as we hate to admit it, they're always right, right? 

To honour all the Mothers on this very special day, the staff at Accelo were asked to share some of the most helpful (or hilarious) pieces of advice their Mother has ever given them. Here is what they had to say:

• You become who you spend the most time with, so pick your friends carefully. Or I’ll pick them for you!
• If you break up with someone, don’t get back together with them. There are plenty of fish in the sea, and they won’t change.
• Marry your best friend.

• Time wounds all heels.
• Do what you want and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.
• Don’t take yourself so seriously; have fun and make mistakes. And read a lot.
• It’s better to be weird than to be boring!

• In the end, it's not about the amount of money left in your bank account, but the number of people at your funeral.
• Never waste a journey (she’d say as I walked past a pile of clothes on the stairs).
• Always pack extra underwear.
• Be beautiful on the inside.
• Get a good job so that your Mother can retire.
• Keep your eye on the prize.

• Treat others the way you want to be treated.
• Manners are free.
• Soap is cheap, so there's no excuse to be dirty.
• Remember, no one is more important than your Mother.
