We’re planning to do some server upgrades over the weekend and they’ll likely lead to a few outages, lasting for a few minutes at the most.
Here’s what you should know:
We’re taking the first step in a safe but complex process of improving the architecture of our data storage. The goal is to further improve our resilience to outages in the event that a single server goes down.
In order to do this, we’ll have to change some configurations and may need to restart some server processes. The good news is, even though we’ve scheduled a maintenance window of three hours, there should only be a few brief interruptions lasting a few minutes each.
The outage period will be on Friday, February 10th or Saturday, February 11th depending on your timezone:
San Francisco: Fri from 8pm to 11pm
Chicago: Fri from 10pm to Sat 1am
New York: Fri from 11pm to Sat 2am
London: Sat from 4am to 7am
Berlin/Paris: Sat from 5am to 8am
Cape Town: Sat from 6am to 9am
Moscow: Sat from 7am to 10am
Dubai: Sat from 8am to 11am
Singapore/Perth: Sat from noon to 3pm
Sydney: Sat from 3pm to 6pm
Auckland: Sat from 5pm to 8pm
