Integrating your HubSpot Partner Portal with Accelo

Accelo's HubSpot Partner Portal integration helps you connect the work which you're using in Accelo to track time, budgets and billing to the work which you're actively performing for your clients in their HubSpot portal, saving you valuable time and frustration. That includes links to the contacts, dashboards, reports and more which you're tracking in HubSpot!

This integration can be used in conjunction with the HubSpot integration, which helps to sync your client and contact records between Accelo and your internal HubSpot account.

Using this guide, you can:

Enabling the HubSpot Partner Portal Integration

Connecting an Accelo Record to HubSpot

Once you've enabled the HubSpot Partner Portal integration, you can immediately begin connecting your Accelo records to your HubSpot portal. When a connection is made, new links will be created directly between the Accelo record and HubSpot, making it easy to access all of your client's information in HubSpot. To make that connection, simply follow these steps:

  1. Open the record in Accelo which you'd like to link.  This link can be made for any record, but companies are the most common one to link.
  2. Locate the HubSpot logo, found in the bottom left-hand corner of the page, and click Add
    hubspot card
  3. Open any record in HubSpot which you'd like to link to Accelo. This can be the company's page itself, their reports, landing pages, etc. Copy the page's URL, and paste it into the HubSpot URL field.
    connect hubspot
  4. Enter a Title which describes the content of your link.  This title will appear on the page in Accelo, and is a great way to differentiate between multiple portals.
  5. Click Connect.  The link is made, and you're all done!

If you have multiple partner portals which you're tracking for a single client in Accelo, you can make multiple links from one Accelo record to HubSpot. To add an additional link, simply click the Add button again.

Configuring your HubSpot Partner Portal Integration's options

The partner portal integration makes it easy to access your clients information in HubSpot from the work which you're doing in Accelo. Accelo offers several options for controlling what information is accessible from Accelo, and where that information appears.  To configure the integration, simply open the Integrations page

HubSpot Links

hubspot links

When you connect an Accelo record to a HubSpot company, Accelo will create direct links to the work which you're managing for that client in HubSpot. By default, that list includes all of the following records:

  • Contacts
  • Lists
  • Dashboards
  • Reports
  • Ads
  • Emails
  • Social Posts
  • Blog Posts
  • Landing Pages
  • Workflows

These checkboxes allow you to hide records which you don't manage in Accelo, eliminating irrelevant links for your team. For example, if you don't manage your clients' landing pages in HubSpot, simply uncheck the Landing Pages box to hide that link.  These links will be displayed on every Accelo record which you link to HubSpot.

Available On

When the HubSpot Partner Portal integration is enabled, you can link any record in Accelo to HubSpot. The Available On settings can then be used to hide the HubSpot partner portal link on certain types of records in Accelo.  The available records include:

Each Accelo company, project, retainer, etc. can be linked to a separate partner portal in HubSpot.  This is crucial if you have a single client which you manage through multiple partner portals.  However, if you only manage one portal for each of your clients, it can be much simpler to only make the link from the Accelo company record.
